Emergency treatment of barium sulfate leakage

Isolate the leaked contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks (full face masks) and general work clothes. Mix it with sand, dry lime or soda ash. Collect in dry, clean, covered containers and transfer to a safe place. If a large amount of leakage occurs, collect and recycle or transport to a waste disposal site for disposal.
